One of the many Yankees stepping up for others on the injured list is Mike Tauchman. And what he did in Tuesday night’s 9-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles just illustrated his value. With the game still in doubt in the bottom of the fourth innings, Baltimore’s Pedro Severino hit one that looked sure to go into the left-field stands at Camden Yards – until Tauchman reached into the stands and caught it. That home-run robbery was part of an evening where he smashed a home run of his own, this after going deep twice the night before as the Yankees smashed the Orioles during a three-game sweep.
