Summit Cars Spotlight 8/17/2019

What the Yankees did to the Baltimore Orioles, both last week in a sweep at Camden Yards and in a sweep early this week in the Bronx, continued a season-long pattern of total domination. In 19 games, the Yankees won 17 of them, but it went beyond that to the ridiculous power shown. As a team, the Yankees hit .303, slugged .632, had a .386 on-base percentage and, most of all, hit home runs – 61 of them, against a single team, matching the entire total of Roger Maris in 1961 when he broke Babe Ruth’s single-season record under enormous pressure.
