Summit Cars Spotlight 7/6/19

Here we turn to the remarkable pair of long-time Yankees announcers. John Sterling, the radio voice of the Yankees for 30 years, had not missed a game – until the Yankees’ series in St. Petersburg against Tampa Bay, where he would get some rest before coming back after the All-Star break after calling more than 5,000 straight games. Michael Kay, the voice on YES, announced a few days later that he’s undergoing minor throat surgery and will miss a month of games, returning in August. Both are so familiar to Yankees fans and games will feel weird without them.
